Vantage Media Limited is recruiting a Business Development Manager. This is a challenging and creative role for a sales-focused business manager who is looking to take the next step in their career, grow their department from the ground up and be at the heart of a young creative agency’s rapid growth and development.

Vantage is a boutique media agency established in November 2018. We specialise in contract publishing, branding and marketing services for prestige clients and entrepreneurs. Some of our projects to date have included creating branding for a dynamic fintech companies aiming to reach a fresh new audience, brand guidelines and marketing material for a high-level Mayfair security firm, contract publishing and branding material for a West End law and services company, an exclusive buyers’ events for a major watch brand and designing the launch of a womenswear brand. At our core, we are committed to exceeding the expectations of our clients’ quality branding and publishing needs.

In addition to our client work, Vantage is the independent publisher of Tempus Magazine (tempusmagazine.co.uk), following the successful management buy-out of the celebrated luxury lifestyle brand in 2019. Tempus is now our flagship title, sitting alongside Vantage Media’s bespoke, design-led client publications, and we have grown the magazine into a multi-award-nominated luxury title reaching an engaged HNW audience in the UK.   • Market research to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, and converting these into increased business
  • Communicating with prospective clients via cold calling, email pitches, networking at events and more as appropriate. Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network. Networking with related businesses to foster B2B relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales and brand awareness for our core products
  • Working with the creative team to develop pitches and proposals that meet our clients’ needs and objectives. Improving proposals for existing and new clients
  • Drawing up paperwork and documents related to new and ongoing business, including client contracts and project agreements
  • Contributing to creative discussions and decision-making about the business' future; including building editorial brand partnerships that enhance product visibility and/or market presence for our flagship and client brands
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs, including helping to track company KPIs
  • Attend industry functions on behalf of the company, such as events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Have a full understanding of the businesses' products and services and be able to communicate these in an engaging manner

You will have the support of the creative team behind you and work closely with the director of editorial to create business solutions that are aligned with our ethos, while enhancing the quality and scale of our offering.

You are a hands-on and collaborative team member who excels in finding creative solutions to challenges and opportunities. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where tight deadlines and changing priorities are the norm, and can balance between team projects and independent strategies to grow your department and the business as a whole.

As your primary role will involve building relationships and driving revenue, you will have proven experience in a sales or publishing role and be confident promoting the company whether cold calling or representing the brand at high profile events. You are passionate, creative and collaborative, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
